Participating in this event is a great way to get into the Holiday Spirit. The proceeds from this event will be used to further Rotary Internationals efforts to eradicate polio worldwide and
to help the Arlington Hts. community effort, the Drive to Revive Memorial Park.
If you are wondering what in the world is a Santa Sleigh 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk, it's an event that is fun for the participants and spectators alike. Each participant receives a Santa
outfit that is worn during the 5K run or 1 mile walk. So, this is just like every other 5K run or 1 mile walk you have seen, except all the participants are Santa! It is truly a unique sight to
see hundreds and hundreds of Santas running through the streets of your home town.
Rotary Clubs around the world host these events to raise funds for their local club and for Rotary International. The Rotary Club of Arlington Heights is the first club to host a Santa
Fun Run in the Chicago metropolitan area so be sure to join us for the second running or our event. Over 400 people have already registed and we are expecting an even bigger
turnout -- the more Santas the better
Race Information
Date and Location:: The 5K race and 1 mile run will be held on Saturday morning December 5, 2009 at 10 AM. The race will begin and end at South Vail Street Parking Garage,
22 South Vail Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 (Between West Campbell Street & West Sigwalt Street). The course is flat and winds through a lovely neighborhood in south
Arlington Hts.
Timing: The race will be timed by Race Time. Results will be posted at www.racetime.info within 2 hours of the race.
Strollers? Dogs? Etc??? Running strollers will be allowed in the 5k run, however regular strollers will only be allowed in the 1 mile walk. Dogs, cats, lions, tigers and bears as
well as skates, skateboards, bicycles and scooters are NOT ALLOWED.
Parking: will be available at the Arlington Hts Municipal Garage. Please do not park on the streets surrounding the garage as your car may interfere with the runners.

Race day registration is from 7:00 AM to 9 AM at South Vail Street Parking Garage, 22 South Vail Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 (Between West Campbell Street & West
Sigwalt Street.. Please arrive early to ensure proper and accurate registration. Race Day registration will close promptly at 9 AM.
